Dear Readers,
About two years ago, near the end of my Fellowship, University of Michigan research professor Dr. Rachel Bergmans asked me if I would be interested in helping to tell the stories of some of the people that she works with. Some have lupus, some are caregivers, some have even lost loved ones to it. While the work we’re doing is ongoing, it has been directly impacted by the current administration. To that effect, Bergmans recently wrote an op-ed that Time published. It includes interviews and pictures from our work. I hope that you’ll consider reading the piece. An excerpt is included below, but I will let the words of Dr. Bergmans and our collaborators do the rest.
More pictures from the project can be seen here.
P.S. I am a bit late in sending this out, but I don’t think the piece is any less timely because of it.
P.S.S. If you are receiving this but don’t regularly get my Letters, it is because I am including those to whom I have written to about professional news in the past as well as my regular list. If you don’t want to get (very occasional) professionally related updates anymore, please unsubscribe below. Alternatively, if you would like to get the rest of my Letters, please just reply and let me know. |
