I work with photography in different ways including but not limited to:

  • Making original photographs, digital images (collages, paintings), and books as an artist - primarily centered around themes of place and environment.
  • Making photographs on commission, mostly location portraiture and photo essays.
  • Writing about photography, image and more at sia.peterghoffman.com
  • Teaching photography and photojournalism, most recently in the department of Art + Art History and in the Hussman School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
  • Working in collaborative art initiatives, most recently Sleeper.Studio and Basement Art Space
