New Zealand, Fiji and Australia with a low quality digital point and shoot.
These pictures have so many flaws in so many ways. They are the depictions of a novice seduced by sunsets, vistas and rainbows, heavily influenced by imagery in surf magazines, but with no access to good surfers, telephoto lenses or even notable waves. Still, these are also some of the first pictures that I felt translated a sort of magic in the world, and subsequently made me think about photography as a real pursuit.
