I just wanted to photograph in fog. I wanted to photograph in a vast, beautiful landscape but make pictures that showed almost nothing.

Pt. Reyes is known as one of the foggiest places in North America. The foggiest is in a remote part of Eastern Canada. I wasn't able to get there.  I still hope to.

I took two brief trips to Pt. Reyes, and neither of them were particularly foggy.
