Roadside Slides

I spent a summer driving through the Midwest and the South for a documentary project.
Occasionally there was a reprieve and I picked up my film cameras to look at the landscape.
I used various chrome emulsions in various states of expiration, whatever I could get my hands on, really. 
Pictures are from Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota...I cannot recall concretely other places, but perhaps others.
Who knows where a picture of a highway rest stop was really made when days and weeks are spend on the road.
